A car crashed into a crowd in Munich, some reports put the number of injured at 15, German media reported on Thursday.
The casualties were reported by German media BILD. Ambulances are reported to have arrived at the scene.
The information was confirmed by the Munich police, who published several posts about the incident in X. The police said that the driver has already been detained and “does not pose any danger.” Law enforcers also confirmed that several people were injured.
Journalist Sandra Demmelhuber said the incident took place at a rally organised by German trade union Verdi. She reported:
“There was an incident at a Verdi rally in Munich. A car drove into demonstrators.”
Last December, also in Germany, a car rammed into a Christmas market in the city of Magdeburg.
