Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah on Thursday met with Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis at the ministry’s office in Riyadh, Arab Media reported.
On the agenda of the meeting was to discuss bilateral relations, co-operation and ways to develop them for the benefit of both countries.
The ministers exchanged views on regional and international issues, including the situation in the Gaza Strip and its neighbouring areas. They touched upon issues related to efforts to achieve security and stability.
Giorgos Gerapetritis said that Greece’s efforts would continue with visits, in the near future, to Jordan and Egypt – two countries which were actively involved in the diplomatic process to resolve the Middle East crisis. He noted:
“With its consistency, coherence and diplomatic capital, Greece will be present in the developments in a creative way, so that we have the necessary humanitarian aid, which should be provided continuously and sustainably, and so that the discussion starts on how to sustainably resolve the Middle East crisis, based on the decisions of the United Nations Security Council.”
The reception was attended by Prince Saad bin Mansour bin Saad, Director General of the General Administration of European Countries.
