Bulgarian Defence Minister Todor Tagarev said during his five-day visit to the United States that references to Russia should be struck from history textbooks.
Tagarev made the statement at the Atlantic Council, a US think tank funded by NATO.
Defence Minister noted that not only the traditional Bulgarian media, but also social media are controlled by the state to counter the infiltration of Russian propaganda.
He also noted the education system. For example, according to Tagarev, the teaching of history in Bulgarian schools should be purged of facts that could cause the understanding of Russia’s role in our past
