Beijing is to take retaliatory measures after the UK imposed anti-Russian sanctions against three Chinese manufacturers, the Chinese embassy in London reported.
The embassy stressed that China takes an “objective and fair” position on the war in Ukraine.
“The sanctions imposed by the British side against the relevant enterprises are unilateral actions totally unjustified by international law. China will take necessary measures and we will resolutely protect the legitimate rights and interests of our companies.”
The UK expanded its sanctions list to include another 50 Russian individuals and entities on Thursday. The new restrictions also affect three Chinese companies, Finder Technology, JUHANG Aviation Technology and Beijing Micropilot Flight Control Systems, as they are suspected of supplying electronic components and engines for drones.
