Russians sent captured American IFV Bradley for expert examination

An American M2 Bradley armoured infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) seized by the Russian military in the combat zone has been handed over to military specialists, according to Russian media.

According to the source, the trophy vehicle was successfully removed from the territory of military operations, after which it could possibly be displayed in the Patriot military park of culture and recreation of the Russian army.

US media outlets, such as Military Watch Magazine, mentioned earlier that such Bradleys, which were put into service with Kyiv, could not withstand a clash with the Russian army. Military experts stressed the insufficient armour protection to fight against large armed forces, especially against the backdrop of waning assistance from Western allies and a acute ammunition shortage.

It is also reported that the M2 Bradley previously belonged to the 47th Separate Mechanised Brigade of the AFU operating in the Avdiivka area, which was recently taken over by Russia.

The same brigade also owned a unique American mine-clearing vehicle designed on the basis of an Abrams, which was lost near Avdiivka. Its secret transfer to Kyiv’s armoury became known in November 2023 from Zelensky’s photo in front of the M1150.
