The Prince of Wales posted a photo of himself and his father playing in a garden together on the occasion of Father’s Day, People reported.
In honour of Father’s Day on Sunday, June 16, the 41-year-old Prince of Wales shared a retrospective photo on social media showing him as a child playing in the garden with his father, King Charles. Prince William wrote alongside the sweet image:
Happy Father’s Day, Pa. W.
The heir to the throne himself has three children: 10-year-old Prince George, 9-year-old Princess Charlotte and 6-year-old Prince Louis with his wife, 42-year-old Kate Middleton, who has largely stayed out of the spotlight since announcing in March that she has cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy.
However, the 42-year-old Princess of Wales, who had not attended a public event with the royal family since Christmas, attended Trooping the Colour on June 15. During she was on the balcony of the royal residence with her husband Prince William, and their children. They joined King Charles, Queen Camilla and other members of the royal family for the monarch’s annual birthday parade.
Father’s Day celebrates the third Sunday in June in the UK, and the image marks a change from the way Prince William celebrated the special day last year, when Kensington Palace published two new photos of the Prince of Wales with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis taken at Windsor Manor earlier in the year.
William’s Father’s Day message follows a challenging year for the family. As the Prince treads the tightrope of duty to his young family and service to his country, the Prince of Wales’ main concern is to support his wife in her ongoing recovery.
