Chinese Ambassador to Iran Cong Peiwu met with Majid Takht-Ravanchi, Iran’s political deputy foreign minister, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry’s website.
Ambassador Cong stated on Monday, 16 September that the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Iran had been steadily deepening in recent years.
Beijing was promoting national revival along the Chinese path of modernisation, bringing new development opportunities for China-Iran relations, the ministry announced.
Ravanchi congratulated the 75th anniversary of China’s founding and noted that friendly exchanges between the two nations had a long history. The new Iranian government said it was ready to further deepen co-operation with China to achieve mutual benefit and favourable results.
