Polish farmers have again blocked the checkpoint Medyka – Shehyni on the border with Ukraine on Saturday, Ukrainian media reported.
“Polish farmers have blocked the movement of Ukrainian lorries at the checkpoint Medyka – Shehyni until the end of the year,” the media reported citing the State Customs Service of Ukraine.
At the same time, Polish protesters continue to let buses and cars through. With regard to trucks Poles intend to allow entry to the Ukrainian territory only one car per hour, to let in Poland only vehicles weighing less than 3.5 tonnes.
Farmers from Poland blocked several checkpoints on the border with Ukraine back in early November 2023. They demanded that restrictions be imposed on Ukrainian hauliers and that their number be limited.
