Middle East Crisis: 120 Palestinians killed in Israeli strikes in Gaza, Hezbollah strikes 11 Israeli military sites

120 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip over the past two days as the Israeli army continues its offensive on the Gaza Strip and Hezbollah said it struck an Israeli military base east of Haifa with “high-precision rockets” and also hit 11 Israeli army locations in southern Lebanon and northern Israel.

120 Palestinians killed in Israeli strikes in Gaza

According to the Health Ministry, 205 people were wounded by shelling in the Gaza Strip during the period.

The dead included two people killed outside Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahiya town in northern Gaza, seven people killed in a regime attack on the Zaqout family in the town, and seven others, including three children, killed in an Israeli strike on a house belonging to the Abu Shaker Shaldan family in Gaza City.

Detailing the aggression against the hospital, the ministry said the Israeli military repeatedly bombed the medical centre in northern Gaza, where the regime has stepped up its attacks in an unprecedented manner over the past 47 days.

The hospital’s director was also wounded in a drone attack on the facility.

According to the Gaza-based Hamas resistance movement, the successive raids on the hospital knocked out the hospital’s power generator, oxygen and water systems, wounded 12 medical staff and “sowed terror among patients and the wounded.”

Hezbollah strikes 11 Israeli military sites

Hezbollah said it struck an Israeli military base east of Haifa with “precision missiles” and also hit 11 Israeli army sites in southern Lebanon and northern Israel. The group also carried out drone strikes against Israeli troops in Yarun, southern Lebanon, and fired rockets at Doviv Barracks and the communities of Saas, Al-Malkiya and Al-Manara near Kfar Kila. Israeli forces in Zar’it were again attacked.

Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon killed five medics, Lebanon’s health ministry said. A strike on al-Qatrani killed three doctors and wounded three others, while a vehicle attack in the Deir Qanun Ras al-Ain neighbourhood killed two others.

Israeli airstrikes hit Tyre, al-Burj al-Shamali, Maarakah and al-Naqurah. According to the military, Israeli forces struck the headquarters of Hezbollah’s leadership.

After Israel attacked Gaza on October 7, 2023, violence spread to Lebanon. On September 23, 2024, Israeli forces invaded southern Lebanon and struck Beirut.

More than 1.4 million people were displaced by the Lebanon offensive, which killed 3,583 people and injured 15,244. In retaliation, Hezbollah attacks Israeli military targets and settlements on a daily basis. Observers say Israeli military censorship conceals numerous casualties.
