Israeli drones violate ceasefire agreement in Beirut
Israeli Air Force reconnaissance drones raided over Beirut on Sunday, violating a ceasefire agreement.
Tel Aviv drones have been flying at medium and low altitudes most of the day and have been seen in the central neighbourhoods and southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital.
The Israeli army continues to violate the ceasefire agreement that came into effect at 4:00 a.m. on November 27.
On Thursday, Israeli drones attacked a car in the border settlement of Markaba. At the same time, Israeli warplanes have systematically violated Lebanese airspace and reconnaissance drones have not left southern Lebanon.
33 Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza amid ongoing escalation
At least 33 Palestinians, including three employees of World Central Kitchen, were killed and several others were injured on Saturday as Israeli forces intensified their strikes on various areas of the Gaza Strip.
Medical sources told Anadolu Agency that seven Palestinians, including three employees of the humanitarian group World Central Kitchen, were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a car and a group of civilians in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
Eight other Palestinians were killed in an Israeli army bombardment of a car in Khan Younis. In Gaza City, seven people were killed in an airstrike on a house in the Al-Rimal neighbourhood, according to the Palestinian Civil Defence.
Rescuers are still searching for six missing people believed to be under the rubble of the destroyed house, it added.
Ten more Palestinians were killed in another Israeli attack that targeted a house in the Shujaiya neighbourhood east of Gaza City, a medical source told Anadolu.
Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli army vehicles stationed in the Al-Saftawi neighbourhood in northwestern Gaza opened fire on residential houses, although no casualties were reported.
In the northern Gaza Strip, a Palestinian was killed when an Israeli drone fired a bomb near the Halim Al-Saadia school in Jabalia, medical sources said.
Israel launched a military offensive in the Gaza Strip following a cross-border attack by the Palestinian group Hamas last October that killed more than 44,300 people, most of them women and children, and injured more than 105,000.
On November 21, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Missile from Yemen targets central Israel
On Sunday, the Israeli military reported intercepting a missile launched from Yemen targeting central Israel.
According to an official statement, “sirens sounded in several areas of central Israel after a rocket launch from Yemen was detected. The rocket was intercepted outside Israeli airspace, avoiding any damage or casualties.”
Since the Gaza war began in 2023, the Houthi have stepped up their offensives against Israel, claiming “solidarity with the Palestinians.” According to the Times of Israel, the Houthis have fired more than 220 ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones at Israel in the past 11 months.
In addition to direct attacks on Israel, the Houthis pose a serious threat to maritime security in the Red Sea. They have launched numerous missile and drone strikes against military and civilian vessels, disrupting key shipping lanes such as the Bab al-Mandeb Strait. The Houthis reportedly carried out more than 190 attacks on US naval and commercial vessels using cruise missiles, drones and sea mines.
