UN reported largest IDF operation to demolish refugee camp in 58 years

The head of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, announced on Friday that Israel has launched the most destructive demolition operation in Palestinian refugee camps in the West Bank since 1967.

He revealed that Israeli security forces began demolishing more than 16 buildings in the Nur Shams camp in Tulkarm, in the northern West Bank, on March 7.

“This operation is the longest and most destructive since the second intifada,” Lazzarini wrote on X.

He warned that the last time an operation of similar scale caused the largest displacement of Palestinians in the West Bank since the 1967 war.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump issued an ultimatum on the Middle East with the words “Shalom, Hamas.”
