Her Royal Highness Princess Ariane of the Netherlands, Princess of Orange-Nassau, third daughter of the reigning King William-Alexander I of the Netherlands and Maxima Sorregieta Cerruti, celebrated her 18th birthday on Friday.
Princess Ariane Wilhelmina Maxima Ines was baptised on October 20, 2007 at Klosterkerk in The Hague by the Reverend D. van der Boon. Witnesses at the baptism were the Crown Grand Duke Wilhelm of Luxembourg, Baron Tijoux Collot d’Esquéry, Antoine Frilling, Valérie Delger and Ines Sorreguieta.
She spent most of her youth in Eikenhorst on the De Horsten estate in Wassenaar. In January 2019, the Princess moved with her parents King William-Alexander I and Queen Maxima, as well as her two sisters Princess Catherine-Amalie and Princess Alexia, to the Huis-en-Bos Palace in The Hague.
In her free time, Princess Ariane enjoys hockey, playing guitar, dancing, drawing, tennis and singing.
Princess Ariane spent her first four years of high school at Sorgvliet Christian Gymnasium in The Hague. In the summer of 2023, she continued her studies at United World College Adriatic in Italy. Here she is studying in the International Baccalaureate programme.
