Trump set to receive luxury Boeing 747-8 from Qatar

President Donald Trump may soon receive a luxury Boeing 747-8 jumbo jet from Qatar’s royal family, according to ABC News. The aircraft is expected to serve as Air Force One.

ABC News, citing sources familiar with the matter, said the announcement could come during Trump’s upcoming visit to Qatar. The stop is part of his wider Middle East tour. If confirmed, this could be the most valuable gift ever given to a sitting US president by a foreign government.

The White House and the Department of Justice have not responded to requests for comment. The Qatari embassy also did not comment, ABC News reported.

US Attorney General Pam Bondi and White House lawyer David Warrington reviewed the legal aspects of the gift. They concluded the donation would be legal if Trump’s presidential library takes ownership before his term ends.

According to the plan, the aircraft will go to the Trump Presidential Library Foundation by 1 January 2029. The US Air Force will cover all transfer-related costs.

Experts in aviation estimate the plane’s value at around $400 million. This figure does not include the additional security and communications systems the Air Force would need to install.
