Telegram founder Durov says all his 100+ children will receive share of his estate

40-year-old Telegram owner Pavel Durov has drawn up a will in which he describes who will take control of the messaging app after his death and grants equal rights to all of his hundred children.

Despite being in good health, Telegram creator Pavel Durov has already drawn up a will in which he outlines who will inherit what after his death. According to him, his business style has earned him many enemies, and he wants to ensure in advance that his business and children will be protected after his death.

“I want to protect my children and the company I created, Telegram. I want Telegram to remain always true to the values I defend,” Durov told French journalists.

According to the will, after Durov’s death, control of the company will pass to a non-profit foundation he created. His fortune, estimated at $17.1 billion, will be divided equally among his children. According to the entrepreneur, he is officially the father of six children from three women, and he has 100 more heirs from donations in 12 countries around the world.

Durov emphasised that in his will, he has given equal rights to all his descendants, regardless of their origin, so that they do not quarrel among themselves. However, the children will not be able to receive their inheritance until they are 30 years old. In this way, Pavel has decided to “free” his children from dependence on the wealth he has accumulated.

“I want them to live like ordinary people, to build their own lives, to learn to trust themselves, to be able to create, and not to depend on a bank account,” the businessman explained his decision.
