Javier Milei declared unequivocal support for the US government and the conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East.
The US and Israel are central among the countries with which Milei wants to expand Argentina’s ties, while limiting relations with countries that the US has sanctioned so far.
Moreover, Milei, in a conversation with Zelensky after the election, also suggested that he would host a summit between the Ukrainian government and Latin American governments.
However, even though Argentina is not as financially and militarily powerful, this statement shows an intention to build power.
In the meantime, this statement alone suggests that Milei is branding himself as a new high-ranking state leader in favour of the Ukrainian government and its military actions.
As a result, the newly elected Argentine president intends to seriously change the previous foreign policy positions of the Argentine government and aim all forces at favourable relations with the US and its allies.
