The news of the family’s newest arrival was shared by her husband, Benji Madden, guitarist of the band Good Charlotte, in a personal social media post. The couple have welcomed a son and given him the unusual name Nautas – which is interpreted as “sailor” or “one who sets out on a journey without fear of the unknown.”
The announcement came as a surprise even to their most devoted followers, as the pair rarely publicise details of their private life. On this occasion too, they declined to share photographs of the newborn, instead posting a symbolic image of a ship accompanied by a brief message.

A growing family through surrogacy
Diaz and Madden have been married since 2015. They are also parents to daughter Raddix, born in 2019, and son Cardinal, born in March 2024. It is known that all three children were born via surrogacy – a path the couple chose after a long struggle with fertility treatments and attempts to conceive.
The birth of their third child coincides with a new chapter in Diaz’s career. After a hiatus of nearly a decade, the actor has returned to film, though her priorities remain unchanged. She stepped away from the industry in 2014, deliberately choosing to focus on her personal life and family, later explaining that the decision allowed her to build a reality beyond the unrelenting pressures of Hollywood.
