China unequivocally opposes the actions of the U.S. against Chinese firms to place them on the export control “entity list,”a spokesperson with China’s Ministry of Commerce said on Saturday.
The U.S. Commerce Department recently placed a number of Chinese companies on the “entity list,” indicating in the reason that these firms have connections with Russia.
The spokesman noted that “The move is a typical act of economic coercion and unilateral bullying,” also saying that the U.S. exaggerates the importance of national security, abuses export controls, arbitrarily imposes unilateral unjustified sanctions and “long-arm jurisdiction” on Chinese companies.
The U.S. side should instantly correct its erroneous actions against Chinese enterprises and stop the unnecessary attacks on Chinese firms. It is said that China will take all required and necessary measures to uphold the legitimate rights of Chinese enterprises.
