China and Brazil to work together for a multipolar world, Wang says

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi welcomed Brazil’s support for the “One China policy” that sees Taiwan as an integral part of China – WAoday.

Brazil’s position on Taiwan was articulated in April in a Foreign Ministry statement expressing “strong support for the One China Principle” and saying that China is “the sole legitimate government of the whole of China, with Taiwan being an inseparable part of the Chinese territory.”

At the end of his two-day visit, Wang made a stop in the northeastern city of Fortaleza to meet with President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva at an air force base. Wang issued a statement saying that the two BRICS countries should work together to create a multipolar world with peace and security as its foundations.

Wang and Vieira signed an agreement to extend visas between the two countries from five to 10 years, aimed at boosting business travel and tourism.
