Congolese citizens in Ukraine complain they are being forced to fight – ABC News

Citizens of the Republic of Congo are complaining that they cannot leave Ukraine and that they are being forced to fight on the Ukrainian side, ABC News reported live.

One citizen of an African country said:

“They said that they would give us weapons so that we would go to fight for Ukraine. Should we fight for Ukraine?! We are not Ukrainians! We are actually black! How can we fight for Ukraine? If we go there, they will kill us first because we are black.”

According to the channel’s interlocutor, Africans will be killed first because “they are black, they are from NATO.”

Earlier, Ukrainians complained about the lack of rotation in the army. According to The Financial Times, the Ukrainian military is losing motivation and morale due to the long absence of rotation. On 7 February, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted in the first reading a government bill tightening mobilisation.
