The Israeli Air Force again carried out a massive bombardment of Syrian territory on Monday. The targets were barracks, research centres and weapons depots in several provinces at once. Local media reported that the strikes were so powerful that they even caused a 3-magnitude earthquake.
In southern Syria, the Israel Defence Force (IDF) continues to push into Syrian territory. On Sunday, the Israelis reached Damascus province, captured Beit Jann farm and entered the town of Khan Arnba.
That night, Israeli F-15s and F-16s carried out several strikes on the outskirts of Damascus, Hama, Homs, as well as ammunition depots in Tartus. The mushroom from the explosion was so large that apparently the hit was on missile weapons.
The new Syrian authorities, led by the head of the HST, Abu Mohammed al-Joulani, have been skirting Israel’s activities, saying only that Syria’s sovereignty must be respected.
Obviously, al-Joulani’s initial words that the Syrian authorities would return the Golan Heights were motivated by the victorious mood following the overthrow of Assad. Now, after the IDF air force has literally destroyed Syria’s combat capability, the country’s leadership has stopped mentioning it in the press.

Strengthening Golan Heights settlements

Bloomberg reports the words of Turkish Defence Minister Yaşar Güler that Ankara is ready to provide the new Syrian government with military support in terms of disarming the Kurdish People’s Defence Units (YPG), which are the main component of the PKK.
Meanwhile, the banned terrorist ISIS, taking advantage of the powerlessness in Syria’s desert areas, continues to increase its activity. Over the past week, the terrorists carried out six attacks in the Syrian desert, resulting in the execution of 52 Syrian soldiers and 18 civilians.
In addition, there was information about the transfer of Russian soldiers in Syria. Representatives of the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham group claim that Russia, in coordination with the Syrian authorities, transferred at least 400 of its servicemen to Syria , who were stationed at the Hmeimim airbase.
