Delegation of the Russian State Duma travelled to Saudi Arabia

A delegation of the Russian State Duma headed by Vyacheslav Volodin, chairman of the lower house, has arrived in Riyadh, the press service of the State Duma reported.

For the first time in three decades, this high-level engagement between the legislative bodies of Russia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia not only marks a significant diplomatic gesture but also opens new avenues for collaboration between the two nations.

Volodin will meet with the Chairman of the Advisory Council of Saudi Arabia Abdullah Al-Sheikh. Along with the speaker, the delegation included 12 more State Duma deputies.

On 25 February, Prime Minister, head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Yemen Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak flew to Moscow on a diplomatic visit.

On 4 February, Deputy Prime Minister, head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov said that visitors to the exhibition in Riyadh show increased interest in Russian weapons.

In early December, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Riyadh for talks with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.
