Now that the G20 countries have reached an agreement on the declaration of their leaders, the Prime Minister of India has announced its adoption.
“Because of our team’s hard work, and with your support, there is a consensus on the New Delhi G20 Leaders’ Summit declaration. I announce the adoption of the declaration.”
In recent years, understanding among key members of the G20 has been complicated by disputes over Russia’s war in Ukraine and the consequences of climate change.
Amitabh Kant, chief organizer of the New Delhi summit, said this year was the most “ambitious” in the bloc’s history. Details of the discussions have not yet been announced.
“We have more than doubled the substantive work from previous presidencies.”
