Dmitry Medvedev presents peace formula implying Ukraine’s military defeat and giving up all its territory

Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has said that Ukraine should surrender and become fully part of Russia if it wants peace.

On his Telegram page, Medvedev published a so-called “soft Russian formula for peace,” consisting of seven points according to which Ukraine should pay Moscow compensation and give up all of its territory.

Rejecting attempts at a peace settlement, Medvedev insists on Ukraine’s submission, citing the fact that the Ukrainian side is allegedly not ready for negotiations.

Medvedev described the proposal as “calm,” “quite realistic” and “humane for everyone,” implying Ukraine would recognise its military defeat and become a part of the Russian Federation.

According to his plan, Ukraine would also have to pay reparations to Russia, “including payments to the relatives of the dead citizens.”
