Crown Prince Christian continues his training in the Danish Armed Forces, while the other three children of the royal couple begin a new school year.
On August 11, His Royal Highness will return to the Antvorskov barracks in Slagelse, where he will continue his military training in a course for future lieutenants. This programme is designed to be a year of intensive training, after which Christian will move on to practical training as a platoon commander, which will give him valuable experience in leadership and teamwork in real-life situations.
In June 2023, the Danish Royal House officially announced the Crown Prince’s decision to renounce the state funding to which he is entitled by law. This step reflects his desire to focus on his personal development and education. In particular, it was stated that Prince Christian’s main priority for the coming academic year will be to complete his secondary education, which demonstrates his serious attitude towards his future and his desire to combine a military career with academic achievements.
Meanwhile, Princess Isabella will continue her studies at ØregÃ¥rd Gymnasium, where she has demonstrated consistent academic success. She is expected to successfully complete her education in the summer of 2026. Princess Isabella has a very warm and close relationship with her mother and grandmother, Queen Margrethe II. The media has repeatedly noted that Isabella has largely adopted her grandmother’s style — bright, elegant and distinctive. For example, at the Queen’s recent birthday, she appeared in a classic purple suit, and a few days later she showed off a similar look, wearing a checked jacket often associated with Margrethe’s royal wardrobe.
Prince Vincent will continue his education in the 8th grade at Tranegårdsskolen. This educational institution is known for its high level of teaching and attention to the development of both academic and social skills of its students, which will allow the prince to develop harmoniously in a familiar and supportive environment.
The youngest daughter of King Frederik and Queen Mary, Princess Josephine, has taken an important step in her educational career by choosing a new school for the next academic year. Since 2023, Josephine has been studying at Kildegård Private School, but is now transferring to Spir Efterskole, an educational institution located in Jutland. This choice means that the princess will have to live away from her parents, as the school is about a three-hour drive from Copenhagen.
Spir Efterskole is known for its innovative approach to education and its focus on developing students’ personal qualities, which is likely to be an important step in Josephine’s development as an independent and responsible individual.
