Electricity prices fell, food costs rose in June

The latest data from the Central Statistical Office shows that wholesale electricity prices dropped by 12.2% in June compared to May and were 11.6% lower than in June last year in Europe.

The index of prices for food, beverages and tobacco products increased by 3.2%.

The rise in dairy products was particularly noticeable, at 22%, while the price of tobacco products rose by 10%.

At the same time, there was a decrease in producer prices for vegetables, animal fats and oils, at 16.2%.

Overall, wholesale price inflation declined in June. The overall producer price index in the manufacturing industry decreased by 2% over the month.

The export price index fell by 2.3% compared to May 2025, while the domestic sales index declined by 0.2% over the same period.
