EU Commission President to introduce details of the region’s Growth Plan in the Western Balkans

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will visit Northern Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina for four days starting from October 29, Sunday.

On Sunday, President von der Leyen met with North Macedonian President Stevo Pendarovski. On Monday, 30 October, she meets with North Macedonian Prime Minister Dimitar Kovačevski in Skopje.

Later that day, she will head to Pristina to meet with Kosovo’s President and Prime Minister Vjosa Osmani and Albin Kurti, respectively.

On Tuesday, 31 October, she will pay a visit to Montenegrin President Jakov Milatović and Interim Prime Minister Dritan Abazović in Podgorica. Afterwards, von der Leyen is travelling to Belgrade, where she will meet with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić as well as Prime Minister Ana Brnabić.

The last visit is scheduled for Wednesday, November 1. The European Commission President will meet in Sarajevo with the President of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as with the President of the Council of Ministers Borjana Krišto.

The visit follows President von der Leyen’s meetings in Albania earlier this month, on 15-16 October.
