EuroMillions jackpot rolls over again as largest prize in UK history remains unclaimed

The EuroMillions jackpot on Friday will be approximately £208 million, making it the largest win in the United Kingdom.

The largest lottery win in British history could still be won after there were no winners in Tuesday’s EuroMillions draw.

The jackpot on Friday will be approximately £208 million and will be the largest win in UK history, according to National Lottery operator Allwyn. The total prize pool has been capped, which means that the prize pools for the next winning tier will be increased.

All the money that was supposed to go into the jackpot in the next draw will now be added to the second-tier prizes, meaning that several players in the UK could potentially win big prizes for matching five main numbers and one Lucky Star.

Andy Carter, senior winnings consultant at Allwyn, said that this Friday’s EuroMillions draw will be “even bigger.”

On Tuesday, one player from the UK became a millionaire in the draw by matching five main numbers and one Lucky Star, winning £4.53 million. The main EuroMillions winning numbers were 19, 36, 39, 40, 45, and the Lucky Stars were 05 and 06. One player won the £500,000 Thunderball jackpot by matching five Thunderball numbers: 07, 15, 24, 25, 32 and the Thunderball number 04.

In Friday’s draw, seven players won the second-tier prize, entitling them to over £2 million each. A total of 18 ticket holders correctly guessed the five main numbers without the Lucky Star, which will see them receive over £17,000 each.

An anonymous ticket holder from the United Kingdom won a record jackpot of £195 million on July 19, 2022.

In 2024, residents of the United Kingdom and Spain shared the EuroMillions lottery jackpot of €144 million.

EuroMillions is an international lottery launched on February 7, 2004 by the French lottery Française des Jeux, the Spanish lottery Loterías y Apuestas del Estado and the Camelot Group from the UK. Draws take place every week on Tuesdays and Fridays at 8:45 p.m. Paris time.
