Elsewhere, storms forced cancellations in Hartford, Connecticut, as well as Harrisburg and Wilkes-Barre in Pennsylvania. In Boston, fireworks and concerts were briefly paused as spectators took shelter before events resumed. Philadelphia also ordered an evacuation, while New York and Pittsburgh proceeded with fireworks but adjusted timings due to changing weather conditions.

This year’s milestone celebrations were heavily affected by extreme weather across the East Coast, with temperatures in many areas rising to dangerous levels before storms arrived. Organisers were forced to adjust or cancel multiple planned events.
