FRA Director Michael O’Flaherty discusses rights issues with civil society

On 9 November, FRA Director Michael O’Flaherty met at a roundtable with leaders of more than 20 civil society organisations active in Brussels, FRA reports.

At the meeting, the leaders of the organisations presented their concerns about the current situation of fundamental rights.

Participants also discussed the results of recent FRA research. They spoke about anti-Semitism, racism against people of African descent, the impact of the war in Ukraine on fundamental rights in the EU, risks for fundamental rights at the EU’s external borders, and challenges to fundamental rights from digitalisation.
