Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin declared Tuesday that France was strengthening security on its border with Belgium following the murder of two people in Brussels. Darmanin reported a doubling of the number of border security agents.

On Tuesday, Belgium launched a manhunt for a gunman who killed two Swedish nationals and wounded a third person on Monday in an attack that raised the terror threat level in Brussels to a maximum.
The suspect died in hospital from his wounds after being shot by police at a cafe on Tuesday.
