Industrial production in France showed its highest growth in five years in June 2025. According to data from the national statistics institute Insee, the figure rose by 3.8% compared to the previous month, significantly exceeding analysts’ forecasts.
The largest contributors to growth were transport equipment manufacturing, the aerospace sector and energy. Manufacturing output rose by 3.5%, offsetting May’s 1.2% decline. Experts attribute this to the elimination of supply delays and the restoration of logistics chains.
The positive dynamics confirm preliminary estimates of an acceleration in the country’s economic growth to 0.3% in the second quarter. However, inventory accumulation remains the main factor, while domestic demand and foreign trade are showing modest performance.
At the same time, Spain recorded a 1% increase in industrial production in June. Data from Germany is expected to show the opposite trend.
