Gaza death toll surpasses 33,500

A total of 33,545 Palestinians have been killed since October 7, 2023, when the Israel-Hamas war in the Gaza Strip broke out, the Gaza Health Ministry reported on Thursday.

The ongoing offensive had also injured 76,094 Palestinians, the ministry added.

63 martyrs and 45 injuries arrived at [Gaza] hospitals in the past 24 hours as a result of the Israeli occupation aggression on the Gaza Strip. Many people are still trapped under rubble and on the roads and rescuers are unable to reach them.

Israel struck the Gaza Strip after a cross-border Hamas attack that Tel Aviv said killed about 1,200 people.

Israel faces genocide charges at the International Court of Justice. An interim ruling in January ordered Tel Aviv to stop acts of genocide and take measures to guarantee humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza. However, the fighting continues and aid deliveries remain far insufficient to address the humanitarian catastrophe.
