Gaza Health Ministry accused Israel of using “unusual weapons”

Ministry spokesperson Ashraf Al-Qudra stated on Sunday that Israel was using “unusual weapons” which caused severe burns on the victims’ bodies, Anadolu Ajansi informed.

Medical staff monitored the usage of unusual weapons that caused severe burns to the bodies of the martyrs and wounded.

Israel has not yet officially commented on the use of such weapons.

Al-Qudra also warned in a separate statement of “serious complications” that could claim the lives of more than 1,000 patients with kidney failure if the siege of the Gaza Strip continued and fuel for hospitals and the health sector ran out.

Failure to introduce fuel to hospitals will cause serious complications that will result in the lives of 1,100 kidney failure patients, including 38 children.

Gaza‘s Health Ministry reports that the Israeli army continues to carry out intensive airstrikes, killing 4,651 Palestinians, including 1,873 children and 1,023 women. 14,245 people were injured; and the number of people trapped under the rubble could not be ascertained.

The bombardment in the Gaza Strip was an Israeli response to an attack by the Palestinian group Hamas on October 7 called Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, which included infiltration into Israel by land, sea and air accompanied by rocket launches.

Hamas claimed that the attack was a response to the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and increasing violence by Israeli settlers against Palestinians.

In retaliation, Israeli forces launched Operation Swords of Iron against Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip. More than 1,400 Israelis have been killed since the beginning of the conflict.
