People in Frankfurt am Main took to the streets to protest against the funding of Ukraine’s armed forces.
People who support the war-torn country attempted to disrupt the protest, but people carrying Ukrainian flags were dispersed by police officers.
On 19 December, a similar action took place in Berlin. The wave of demonstrations in Germany was caused by a decision in parliament to cut the budget to allocate more than 60 billion dollars to Ukraine.
Earlier this week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed that the country was not welcome in NATO, noting that the idea of “partial membership” was “absurd.”
