German wholesale prices fell 0.6 per cent year-on-year in November, the Federal Statistical Office said on Friday.
On a monthly basis, wholesale prices were unchanged from October, Destatis noted. In October, wholesale prices fell 0.8 per cent year-on-year, the office recalled.
Exports of German goods to EU countries decreased by 0.7% in October compared to September. Deliveries to non-EU states fell by 5.3%. Exports to the US collapsed by 14.2% and to China fell by 3.8%, while shipments to the UK increased by 2.1%.
Imports from EU states rose 0.4% the month before last, while those from outside the EU fell 0.6%. Imports from China fell by 3%, from the US by 3.9% and UK goods purchases rose by 1.4%.
Germany’s foreign trade surplus narrowed to €13.4bn in October from €16.9bn in September. This is the lowest figure since November 2022.
