Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement has launched new rocket attacks on Israeli military positions in the Western Galilee, in the northern occupied territories.
Local news sources reported that several rockets were fired from Lebanon late Monday night at Israeli military positions.
Hezbollah said in a statement that in “support of the steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their courageous and honourable Resistance, the Islamic Resistance carried out a number of operations against Israeli enemy military positions and deployments along the Lebanese-Palestinian border.”
The report also noted that Islamic Resistance fighters struck Israeli equipment at the Ruwaysat al-Alam site in Lebanon’s occupied Kfar Shuba hills with a guided missile, destroying it with a direct hit.
In addition, Hezbollah announced that its fighters struck Israeli equipment at the Ramya site with a guided missile, achieving a direct hit and destroying it.
Hezbollah and Israel have exchanged fire daily along Lebanon’s southern border since 8 October, a day after Tel Aviv launched a war in Gaza following an attack by Hamas fighters on Israeli territory.
The Lebanese movement has vowed to continue punitive operations as long as the Israeli army continues its offensive on Gaza, which has killed 41,226 Palestinians and wounded more than 95,413 others.
Thousands of victims are believed to be trapped under rubble, inaccessible to ambulance and civil defence teams due to the Israeli attacks.
Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement has carried out 163 attacks in northern occupied Palestine this month, the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported. Hezbollah attacks intensified in September and reached towns that have not yet been evacuated, media reported on Monday night.
