Lebanese group Hezbollah claimed on Monday to have fired anti-tank missiles at the Biranit military camp in northern Israel.
The group claimed it attacked the camp twice “in support of our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.” No casualties have yet been reported.
The Israeli army, for its part, stated that it had responded to anti-tank rockets fired from Lebanon. Lebanon’s official NNA news agency reported Israeli artillery shelling in the vicinity of the town of Naqoura and Mount Labouna in southern Lebanon.
The tension along the border comes amid intermittent exchanges of fire between Israeli forces and Hezbollah, which followed an Israeli retaliatory strike after a surprise Hamas attack on October 7.
