The Houthis said they carried out a successful attack on US vessels in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
Houthi forces in Yemen say to have launched one of the largest attacks on US vessels in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, saying they directed 37 drones at US Navy warships and a commercial vessel.
Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said on Saturday that the group conducted two military operations, the first of which targeted the US bulk carrier Propel Fortune in the Gulf of Aden. During the second operation, Sari said several US military destroyers in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden were attacked by 37 drones.
CENTCOM maintains it successfully repelled the attack, with US Navy ships and aircraft shooting down 15 drones fired by Iranian-backed Yemeni Houthis near the Red Sea.
