British police have launched a manhunt for a criminal after two suitcases containing human remains were found on the Clifton Suspension Bridge in the south-western city of Bristol.
Police received information about a suspicious man carrying the suitcases. When law enforcers arrived on the scene, the intruder was gone, but he left the bags with human remains.
Chief Inspector Vix Hayward-Melen said:
“This is a very disturbing incident and I fully recognise the concern it will cause.”Â
He said police priorities are to find the man who brought the suitcases onto the bridge, identify the dead and inform the victims’ next of kin.
Policemen are now interviewing the driver of the taxi that brought the man to Clifton. The bridge itself is closed as law enforcers examine the scene.
