Industrial producer prices in the eurozone as well as across the EU rose 0.4 per cent in December from the previous month, according to Eurostat data released on Wednesday.
Across the EU, producer prices rose 0.4 per cent the month before last, following a 1.7 per cent rise in November. In annual terms, prices rose 0.1 per cent.
The largest increases in industrial producer prices over the month were recorded in Bulgaria (5.1%), Croatia (2.4%) and Slovakia (1.5%). The most notable decreases were observed in Ireland (-1.5 per cent), Romania (-1.3 per cent) and the Netherlands (-0.4 per cent).
In annual terms, the largest increases were recorded in Ireland (11.1 per cent), Bulgaria (6.6 per cent) and Denmark (4.7 per cent). The largest decreases were recorded in Slovakia (-17.0%), Luxembourg (-4.2%) and France (-3.8%).
