Iran launches missile barrage on Israeli civilian sites

Iran fired over 30 missiles at central and southern Israel on 19 June, striking Soroka Hospital in Beersheba after hours of relative calm, according to local media.

The attack followed Israeli airstrikes targeting central Tehran locations including facilities near the Khatam al-Anbia hospital. Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned Iran’s “terror tyrants” for attacking medical facilities and civilian populations.

We will exact the full price from the tyrants in Tehran.

Simultaneously, missiles struck an empty school in Holon and the residence of a former government minister, causing extensive damage across Ramat Gan. Magen David Adom emergency services reported 25–30 light injuries, while Tel Aviv’s Ichilov Medical Centre treated 18 casualties, three in moderate condition.

Holon reported three serious and one moderate injury, with rescue teams extracting two critically wounded individuals from Greater Tel Aviv impact sites.

The Iranian barrage triggered Israel’s Home Front Command to issue shelter directives. Earlier, the Israeli Air Force had conducted retaliatory strikes across Iran using 40 fighter jets that hit military targets in Tehran, Qom, Natanz, Isfahan, and six other cities with over 100 munitions.

US intelligence indicated President Donald Trump had approved—but temporarily halted—an attack plan against Iran as hostilities intensified.
