The IDF claims to have carried out a drone strike against Hamas militants during a raid on Nur Shams refugee camp in the West Bank.
A large-scale counter-terrorism raid near Tulkarem began on Tuesday night into Wednesday. So far, Israeli forces have interrogated dozens of suspects and detained six wanted Palestinians, the IDF (Israel Defence Forces) reported.
According to the IDF, the drone strike targeted a group of Palestinians throwing explosive device s at Israeli troops. The operation is still ongoing.
The military reports that troops detained four more wanted Palestinians in Qalqilya and seized weapons. The IDF stated that since October 7, troops have arrested more than 2,570 wanted Palestinians in the West Bank, including over 1,300 linked to Hamas.
Israel launched aerial and ground assaults on the Gaza Strip following a cross-border Hamas attack on October 7. According to the Gaza Health Ministry, at least 22,185 Palestinians were killed with another 57,035 injured. The Hamas attack, meanwhile, is believed to have killed about 1,200 Israelis.
