Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has accused some Western allies of forgetting about the “Hamas monsters” and trying to make false accusations against the Israel Defence Forces (IDF), Financial Times reports.
Benjamin Netanyahu claimed:
Are you so quick to deny Israel the right to defend itself against the Hamas monsters? Have you lost your conscience so quickly?
Netanyahu added that those who make such statements have forgotten the worst massacre since the Holocaust. The Israeli prime minister did not give specific names.
In his opinion, insisting on holding elections representatives of the international community “understand perfectly well that they will paralyse the country for six months and will lead to the termination of the operation”.
Before that it became known that the Palestinian movement Hamas sent to the countries – mediators in the process of negotiations on the settlement of the conflict with Israel a proposal for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
On the same day, the Office of the head of the Government of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu said that the position of Hamas on the agreement on the release of hostages is unrealistic. Earlier, Netanyahu said that the war between Israel and Hamas will last until 2025.
The Israeli minister’s criticism of the West is very similar to the words of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who in his Telegram channel vented his anger at Western partners, because they have not provided enough long-range artillery systems to continue fighting. The Ukrainian president said:
In such difficult conditions of war, the short-sightedness of our army is an obvious short-sightedness of some partners.
