Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip overnight and Tuesday killed at least 12 Palestinians, medics said, as Israeli tanks entered the enclave’s central and southern neighbourhoods.
Overnight, an Israeli airstrike killed at least 10 people in Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza, where Israeli troops have been operating since October, and wounded dozens of others in a high-rise building, medics said.
Another airstrike killed two people in Rafah south of the enclave, medics and Palestinian Emergency Services officials said.

Israel has imposed a complete blockade on the densely populated territory, depriving more than two million Palestinians living there of fuel, electricity, food and water.
Greece’s former finance minister Yanis Varoufakis tweeted:
“Have you noticed that, today, no one is talking about the ongoing genocide in Gaza? This is the greatest gift to Netanyahu and his merry genocide maniacs. Keep talking Palestine people!”
