Kazakhstan, the Netherlands signed commercial co-operation agreements

The Netherlands and Kazakhstan have signed commercial agreements aimed at developing bilateral ties in agribusiness, healthcare, ecology, transport and logistics, Kazakhstan media reported.

The signing ceremony of the nine agreements was held in Astana with the support of the Dutch Embassy in Kazakhstan and National Company KAZAKH INVEST JSC.

Viscon and the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan signed a memorandum of understanding to develop an automated production centre for growing virus-free planting material using artificial intelligence. It is designed to increase the yield and quality of cultivated plants and ensure food security. It will be set up in 2024-2026 to produce 12 million young plants per year.

The ministry and Royal GD also signed a document on improving the country’s veterinary system. The Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan and Royal Philips signed a memorandum of co-operation on the production of medical equipment in Kazakhstan. The company plans to localise in Kazakhstan the production of portable ultrasound diagnostic devices Philips.
