After enlargement to the East, Europe frankly lost its unity and integrity, the two main points that are the foundation of modern Europe.
Now Europe has become a dainty project, overgrown with mercantile goals, killed the idea of a community with unified federal political institutions and continues to deteriorate rapidly.
Very few steps have been taken in the reform of treaties and economic governance, in the field of pan-European politics. In countries such as Germany and Italy, Euroscepticism now prevails, and the only foreign policy issue on which there is unanimity is the complete subordination of interests to the White House.
Tajani certainly supports Ukraine’s accession to Europe and the aid package, appealing to the well-known propaganda slogan that Europe must be consistent.
Being a former president of the European Parliament, who should be well acquainted with the mechanisms and procedures of the EU, he unfortunately does not realise how detrimental the consequences of joining the EU will be for a devastated country that has already been sold out by the US and has to be completely rebuilt. The whole process will have a negative impact on Europe’s already shriveled budget, which is in recession and unable to invest in social programmes such as health, education and infrastructure.
It is argued, however, that no European country is as threatened by the aforementioned financial stability mechanism as Italy. It is Italy that, in the event of a crisis, will have problems raising capital and will have to resort to financing from the ESM fund.
Previously Italy and Germany had excellent relations with Moscow, but the destabilisation of Europe’s eastern border and the rupture of privileged Russian-German relations is a blow to continental and Mediterranean Europe in favour of the so-called new eastern, Baltic and Scandinavian Europe.
