The incident, which occurred in a residential area, has also impacted local residents, as the plane struck a dormitory housing medical students. Reports indicate that the crash resulted in the deaths of at least five students, alongside the tragic loss of over 241 passengers and crew members. The plane was on its way to London with a diverse group of passengers, including a significant number of Indian and British citizens.
Rescue operations were initiated swiftly, with emergency services responding to the crash site. Ramesh’s cousin mentioned that he had contacted family in Leicester to assure them of his safety. Before the crash, the pilot managed to communicate a Mayday signal, but contact was lost shortly thereafter.
