US billionaire Elon Musk on Wednesday said he was willing to conduct an interview with US vice-presidential candidate Kamala Harris on his X platform.
The invitation comes after Musk’s “biggest interview in history” with former US President Donald Trump at X Spaces was delayed by more than 40 minutes due to technical difficulties.
Musk posted on X: “Happy to host Kamala on an X Spaces too,” and invited the current Vice President to join him in another interview on the social media platform.
Team Trump created a Space on X and wrote a note:
“This is the biggest interview in history, and now, we’re asking YOU to make this President Trump’s BIGGEST FUNDRAISING DAY EVER! Before the interview is over, we’re calling on TEN MILLION Patriots to donate ANY AMOUNT and proudly say, I STAND WITH TRUMP!”
Musk began the interview by asking about the latest assassination attempt on Trump, which took place during his campaign on July 14 near Butler, Pennsylvania.
“Not pleasant,” Trump responded to Elon Musk’s question about how he felt after the assassination attempt, which targeted the Republican candidate for the US election in 2024, during an interview on X Spaces.
In the interview with Musk, Trump said that Harris’ level of incompetence exceeds that displayed by current US President Joe Biden. The incumbent president refused to participate in the election race and supported the nomination of Vice President Harris as the candidate of the Democratic Party on July 21. At the same time, the head of state emphasised that he was not going to resign early.
Years after leaving X following the unrest on Capitol Hill, the former US president gained about 900,000 new subscribers on X as of Monday after he began posting on the platform again, CNN reported Monday night.
