Nikki Haley’s presidential campaign is launching its first advertisement of the Republican Party primary on Friday, calling for a president with “moral clarity,” Politico reports.
The 30-second spot is part of a massive $10 million ad buy in Iowa and New Hampshire. It will air on broadcast and cable television, as well as on digital platforms.
A president must have moral clarity and know the difference between good and evil. Today, China, Russia, and Iran are advancing. There’s chaos in our streets and college campuses. Our security is threatened at home and abroad.
The ad shows Haley, a former South Carolina governor and UN ambassador, voting during a UN Security Council meeting and visiting Israel, as well as features footage of street gunfire, recent pro-Palestinian protests in front of the White House and a 2018 video of Iranian lawmakers burning a paper US flag in Tehran.
“It’s time for a new generation of conservative leadership. We have to leave behind the chaos and drama of the past and strengthen our country, our pride, and our purpose.”
Since Haley is trying to appeal to a wide range of Republicans and independent candidates, the ad does not mention the current leader of the Republican Party, former President Donald Trump or President Joe Biden.

The launch of the ad comes amid a flurry of Haley activism ahead of the first nominating contests. This week, she was backed by Americans for Prosperity Action, an influential conservative political network founded by the Koch brothers. The organisation has pledged not only financial support, but also grassroots endorsements from its activists.
The campaign has also witnessed a surge of interest from new donors and supporters, though it remains well behind Trump in the polls. Haley’s spokesperson, Olivia Perez-Cubas, commented on the campaign ad as follows:
“Americans are tired of the chaos and drama of the past. Nikki Haley is the one candidate who offers both a new conservative direction for the country and is a hands-down winner against Joe Biden.”
