Iran is ready to strike Israel if it decides to resume attacks on the Islamic Republic, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Wednesday.
The president noted that Iran is ready for any military action by the Jewish state and may again strike deep into Israeli territory. Pezeshkian recalled that in June, Iran responded to Israeli attacks with powerful strikes. He also stressed that Tehran does not seek war, but does not expect the ceasefire to be permanent.
According to the president, Israel tried to change the Islamic Republic, destroy it from within through chaos and strikes against the system of power, but failed.
On July 22, US President Donald Trump said that Washington would again strike Iran’s nuclear infrastructure if necessary.
In turn, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi did not rule out direct talks with the US in the future. Earlier, Iran’s supreme leader threatened his opponents with a “stronger blow.”
